Update on Mike Macintosh

The original surgery that Mike had on his back was successful. However, ten days after the back surgery, a problem arose and a second emergency surgery was performed. This second surgery was very difficult; however the Lord is healing the body, strengthening the mind, and filling the spirit. The swelling and discomfort should be gone in three months and Mike is hoping to be preaching again within the next few weeks.

Mike has been encouraged:

“God has been gracious to speak deeply to my soul through this season. I have started reading once again through the Bible and taking notes. New and fresh discoveries are popping up everywhere I look. I certainly identify with the Psalmist:

And I said, This is my infirmity:
But I will remember the years of the right hand of the most High.
I will remember the works of the LORD: surely I will remember thy wonders of old.
I will meditate also of all thy work, and talk of thy doings.
Thy way, O God, is in the sanctuary: who is so great a God as our God?
Psalms 77:10-13 (KJV)

The prayers from everyone have been so used to encourage me. God is good and God is love -- there is so much for which to be thankful.”

Keep Pastor Mike in Prayer!

I first met Mike at Calvary Chapel, November 12, 1972. He was speaking about his being healed from a a bad drug trip that left him convinced that the left side of his face had been blown off. Chuck (Smith) and the elders prayed for him and God healed him. I had been backslidden for three years. When Mike gave the invitation, I ran down front and re-committed my life to Jesus. Mike will always have a special place in my heart. We will continue to pray for him. God bless...
