R.I.P. Ruth Bell Graham

It was, perhaps, the love story of the century. Billy Graham and his wife Ruth were two deeply in love people... even to the very end. What a blessing for a man to find a helper meet for him whose love would sustain him for so many decades.

“Ruth was my life partner, and we were called by God as a team,” Billy Graham said in a statement released Thursday.

Billy and Ruth married on August 13, 1943. They had five children:

• Virginia
• Anne
• Ruth Bell
• William Franklin III
• Nelson Edman

Ruth didn’t just sit at home raising the children. She was an integral part of Billy’s ministry... even at one point convincing Billy to not leave his ministry to run for President of the United States.

Ruth was definitely a Proverbs 31 woman. Billy was and is a blessed man.
