They Removed God from Schools

Certain people in the United States have worked hard to remove God from school systems, and we wonder why our schools are no longer safe. Columbine and Virginia Tech were just tips of a much larger iceberg now that children are being raised without a personal knowledge of their Creator.

There was a time when children were sent to school knowing that they would be watched over carefully by school personnel. There was even a time when misbehavior was punished by school officials. Today, we have children beating teachers and other students... creating videos of their outrageous behavior and posting them to YouTube, MySpace and Facebook.

Society has made school officials powerless to stop this behavior (touching a child could result in a lawsuit or worse, and in many cases even parents are prevented by law from providing discipline that the Bible says children need.

There was a time when school children began each day with prayer and scripture reading. There was a time when school children pledged allegiance to our country’s flag.

As Bob Dylan predicted, the times have changed. Children who attend school in the 21st Century need prayers of protection more than ever before.

(Pray Psalm 91 for your children’s protection.)

Let us unite in prayer for our school systems asking God for godly teachers, school counselors, coaches, and principles.

Enjoy your children and nurture them, build them up according to the purpose and plan of God.

It is your responsibility to pray for your children, ask God for wisdom and train your child/children in the way he is to go.

Holy Spirit, help me pray effectively for our children at school. Father, I ask
you to protect our children who attend school pursuing their education and
training. In the name of Jesus, I bind their steps to paths of righteousness
knowing that You are effectually at work in them, creating in them the power and
desire to please You. They are the head and not the tail, above and not beneath.
I pray that they will find favor, good understanding and high esteem in the
sight of God, their teachers and classmates.
In Jesus name, Amen.
